Zonta Club of the Marquette Area is a charter member of Zonta International (since 1972). Its mission is to “Build a Better World for Women and Girls” through service, advocacy and education. The Zonta Club of the Marquette Area (through its fundraising efforts) provides scholarships and community grants annually, supports literacy efforts in the community, and brings awareness to the abuse of women and girls such as Domestic Violence, Human Trafficking, and Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women.
The Club is a mix of professional, business and retired women spanning ages from the 20’s to 70’s. Collectively, these women bring a diverse set of skills which enable the club to be most effective in meeting its mission. The club also provides social time for members to get to know one another, have fun, build relationships and discuss topics/goals in a casual and relaxing atmosphere. Zonta welcomes new members.
